Sailor Anne-Marie

This is one of my all-time favorite characters from an animated film: Anne-Marie from "All Dogs Go to Heaven". She is so adorable and heart-wrenching, and what happened to Judith Barsi (voice) makes her even more so. [link] I love this film so much, even though the Hell scene scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. Don Bluth was always the guy to make you earn your happy ending.

I'm proud of myself, though, because this is the first drawing I've done to emulate Drachea Rannak's style without using any of his works for reference. I think I'm getting the hang of it. Mostly this was because he hasn't drawn many characters this young so I was kind of on my own. However, I did use drawings by Don Bluth for reference for this character.
