Sailor Esmeralda

Here is my first Disney heroine as a Sailor Senshi, Esmeralda from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame". This movie made me very sad because like many I had hoped that she would choose Quasimodo. In the original story he was the only one who truly loved her. Even in the Disney version I thought Phoebus was a bit of a jerk. I don't know, but it just didn't seem to have the happy ending I had come to expect and appreciate from Disney. I guess overall it was a good movie, though. I just thought the original moral of it was lost - because apparently looks really do matter, kids.

This particular version of Esmeralda belongs to Disney, while the original belongs to Victor Hugo. Sailor Moon belongs to Naoko Takeuchi.
